ETS Project “Jupyter Notebooks”

 

In 2015 CGRE received funding from the Exploratory Teaching Space (ETS), an internal RWTH platform for implementing innovative teaching concepts and methods. The project "Interactive Blended Learning Programming Exercises with Jupyter Notebooks" laid the foundation for further teaching projects at the institute.

The focus of the ETS project was the integration of an automatic evaluation platform for interactive programming exercises, which has also been used at CGRE since then. Furthermore, interactive representations of geoscientific concepts were developed which have replaced older versions and are since used in the digital teaching at the Faculty 5.
