Bridging geosciences with mathematics and computer science. This concept is a guideline not only in our research but also the teaching offered by our insitute. We use digital teaching methods in our courses to simulate processes and emulate geoscientific concepts. This includes the modelling of geological structures as well as the simulation of underground processes.
The blended learning teaching approach, which we represent at the institute, is based on independent learning under guidance of digital media, such as videos, digital scripts, or interactive programming environments (Jupyter Notebooks).
